King’s Battery debuted as a unit at the Brooksville Raid, though we haven’t a cannon yet. Through Ben Miller (from whom we acquired our cannon) we met a man who had a cannon but no crew—a perfect arrangement! The reenactment attracted over 3,200 participants and had thirty cannons. There was also a huge Sutlers’ Row where reenactors and the public alike could purchase reproductions of Civil War era items.
